
Wolfestone founder, Anna Bastek, was featured in an article by the Evening Post which looked at her career history and how she got to managing a multimillion pound company.When Anna Bastek first came to the UK all she had was her suitcase and vision of success. She kick started her marketing career with a 10 week GoWales placement in a small electronics company. Anna quickly picked up the job and helped it grow.When she started building up her own businesses, she learned that she had to be self-confident and determined.“I faced a lot of barriers when setting up my own company including no start-up funds and having English as a second language,’’ she says now.“Nobody in my family had ever run their own business; it was very difficult during communism. Initially they were discouraging me from quitting my job and going full time with my business. But I wanted to be in charge of my own destiny and didn’t want to have a boss.“My father told me: Never be average, be the best or the worst, the choice is yours.’’
